I stopped in yesterday at Reata, a new country bar located at 247 S. Meridian St. Chef Justin Bauerle has built a solid southwestern-inspired menu with some good-looking tacos, several hefty burgers and some killer mac and cheese.
But when you talk about Reata’s decor, you really have to mention the restrooms too. When you head back to use the facilities, you’ll find a wall of restroom stalls with clear glass doors — except that they’re “smart glass” doors that change from clear to frosted glass when you turn the knob to lock them.
You can read about how the smart glass ( or switchable glass) works here. But there’ll be a Reata employee stationed near the restrooms to make sure customers know how they work. Just in case.
