Indy doesn’t (yet) have a ramen shop, but restaurateur Ed Rudisell and chef Carlos Salazar have got a great ramen menu going right now.

Rook chef/partner Carlos Salazar has launched a ramen menu.

Rook chef/partner Carlos Salazar has launched a ramen menu.

You’ll find five varieties of ramen bowls on the dinner menu, including  pho (with rare beef) and tonkatsu (with pork cheeks), both $14. The tonkatsu and a coconut curry ramen with tofu, $12, are on the lunch menu as well.

The Rook menu always has one ramen bowl on the menu, said Rudisell, but the more extensive selection of ramen is only temporary.

“We love ramen,” he said, “but our heart is with Filipino cuisine too.”
