Duos to open in Indy City Market

Jul 13th, 2017 | by Eat Drink Indy | Jolene’s Blog, News, Restaurants

Amid the bad news of restaurant closings in Indianapolis, it’s nice to hear some good news of expansion.

Duos, the popular restaurant from Becky and David Hostetter and John Garnier, which also has locations at Eskenazi Health and in the International Medical Group building at Meridian and 30th streets  — as well as a food trailer — will be opening soon in the Indianapolis City Market.

The market’s executive director Stevi Stoesz Kersh filled me in about it today and said that with Duos taking over some of the former Jumbo’s space, the market will be full up once again. The market is becoming known for its vegetarian and vegan options, so Duos — which is named for the fact that it offers vegan as well as meat-focused dishes — will certainly add to the mix. (Love those Balance Bowls!)

I stopped in at Duos Kitchen @ IMG and, happily, ran into David Hostetter, who said they hope to be in the City Market space sometime in August. But don’t worry — they’ll remain open at Eskenazi and in the IMG building (which has an awesome kitchen where they’ll prepare much of the food for the City Market location). — Jolene Ketzenberger
