That’s right. At the new Dancing Donut, which should open in March at 1134 E. 54th St., you’ll be able to get a 5-inch donut topped with made-from-scratch sausage gravy.
That one will be called the “Dirty Dancing,” said Dancing Donut owner Kate Bova, who also owns Flying Cupcake.
“Healthy…maybe not,” she said when telling me about it. “Delicious…definitely!”
The new shop will offer fresh, from-scratch donuts, she said, served hot and made to order with a variety of glazes and toppings. The shop will also feature basic yeast donuts and a selection of classics. — Jolene Ketzenberger
